EGYPT

— 1Q 2020 Russia-Egypt trade turnover reached only $1 billion;

— In 2019 Russian foreign direct investments to Egypt amounted to $7.4 billion; bilateral trade to $6.2 billion;

— Transmashholding started the supplies of 1,300 railway wagons to Egypt this June;

— Rosatom is waiting for final confirmation for the El Daaba Nuclear Power Plant project from Egyptian regulatory authorities; construction is delayed due to COVID-19;

— Russia offered mediation and technical assistance during GERD talks and is now following the negotiations;

— Russia inspected Egyptian airports’ security, but there is no answer when charter flights to Hurghada will resume;

— Russia and Egypt cooperate in the field of counterterrorism in a special joint working group, which is headed by deputy ministries of foreign affairs of both sides, by now there was one meeting in 2019.

LIBYA

— Russia has no military forces in Libya and does not plan to;

— If Wagner Group really exists, it has nothing to do with Russia, its mercenaries are private persons.
