Yango, an international brand of the Yandex.Taxi service, was launched in Cameroon, the company’s press service and local media reported on December 15. The service operates in two cities at once — Yaounde and Douala. Earlier, on December 9, the Yango app became available in the capital of Senegal — Dakar.
Yango is a ride-hailing app that connects local users with local drivers and operates on the principles similar to Uber and Taxify. Yango uses technologies developed by Russian programmers like maps, navigation systems and AI distributors. Currently application is present in 7 countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, among them being Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
