Andrey Maslov

Graduate of the African Studies Department, St. Petersburg State University (2000); In 2006 he received the Derzhava Award for his «What Policy in Africa Does Russia Need?» project as the chairperson of the non-profit partnership Rosafroekspertiza (2003-2008). He further gained a wide range of experiences working in Africa for banking and energy ventures. Andrey now heads the Moscow-based research Centre for African Studies and acts as an expert for Intexpertise, Carnegie Moscow Centre, Valdai Club and other Russian and international editions.

Vsevolod Sviridov

Expert for the HSE Center for African Studies. Graduate of the African Studies Department, St. Petersburg State University (2022), he also holds a Master's degree in International Relations. Vsevolod is the author of widely recognised studies on the African continent, including 'NLNG T7: a Way to Euthanize the Nigerian Power Sector', 'Africa: Development Prospects and Recommendations for Russian Policy', 'Africa 2023: Opportunities and Risks', and other works.
