Graduate of the African Studies Department, St. Petersburg State University (2000). In 2006 he received the Derzhava Award for his “What Policy in Africa Does Russia Need?” project as the chairperson of the non-profit partnership Rosafroekspertiza (2003-2008). He further gained a wide range of experiences working in Africa for banking and energy ventures.
